Square and Cube Roots

Introduction: The square root of a number is equal to one of the two equal factors of the number, while the cubic origin of a number is equal to one of the three equal factors of the number. Note:
(i)
The full numeric square root of a number can be possible only if the unit digit of that number is one of 0, 1, 4, 5 or 9.
(ii) F
or the full numerical cube Any digit could be here at unit place.

Square Root : The square root can be determined by the following two methods.

1. FACTORIZATION METHOD: The square root of the number obtained by this method is by breaking the number into the form of multiplication, then made pairs of equal number. Then multiply one digit from each pair to compute the square root. 2. DIVISION METHOD: To Find the square root by this method, two digit pairs are drawn from the right side. If one digit is left on the left hand side, then the process is started with the same number or if the pair remains, then the process begins with the paired digit. Later the digits are taken as pair.

Example 1. 1525 books are to be kept in bundles in such a way that the number of books in each bundle is as much as the total bundles are created. If this is to be done then how many books will be taken out? So the number of books to be removed = 4 Answer. Therefore, the desired square root = 246 Ans .

NOBLE SUGGESTION: Most of the questions based on square root and cube root in Banking examinations are such that the square root and cube roots of small numbers should be calculated. The square root and the cube root of such numbers should be remembered. Some numbers are also such that it can be easily identified with square root and cube root by factorization method, but sometimes the square root of the larger numbers also have to be computed .
The square root of such numbers is extracted by the Division method.
